China bans exams for 6-year-olds as Beijing retools education system – The Straits Times ( 30 August 2021)

TLDR: China has instituted a slew of legal reforms aimed at relieving pressure on children and youths in its educational system.

Measures include banning homework and exams for younger students, limiting homework and the number of exams taken by older students, and heavily restricting the activities of private tuition centres.

More thoughts: This is an example of how governments can implement laws and regulations that have tremendous impact on individuals and organisations across society.
