Boy, 16, admits to taking 58 video clips over two days in men’s toilet in Sengkang Sports Complex, Courts & Crime News & Top Stories – The Straits Times (16 March 2021)

TLDR version: A 16-year-old boy pleaded guilty to taking videos of other boys while they were changing in the men’s toilet.

More thoughts: As the offender was already 16 years old, his case was not heard in the Youth Court but in the District Court.

Changes in the law have been passed and are expected to be effected eventually to allow cases involving offenders up until 18 years old to be heard in the Youth Court.

Note however that laws protecting the identity of offenders up until 18 years old have already come into effect, hence this young voyeur could not be named in the report.
